We regard data protection to be an essential feature of quality, which is why we take protecting your personal information very seriously. Below you will find important information about our data protection.
1. Protecting your personal information
The German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the German Telemedia Act and other laws with data protection provisions are in place to protect your personal information. Personal information includes all information about a person (including your name, your telephone number and your e-mail address). It does not include information that cannot be linked to your actual identity. We undertake to strongly protect personal information shared with us. When we collect, use or process such information, we comply with the regulations in the most current version of the Federal Data Protection Act and other relevant laws.
2. Handling your information
We make sure to collect, process, use and otherwise handle personal information, including such information shared with us during the ordering process or when making requests of us online, in a manner that complies with the law. We need this information to process and execute your order and to contact you. When you share personal information with us, you agree that we may store, process and use this information for further processing. At the same time, we undertake in particular that we will not share your information with third parties (excluding, in this case, external service partners as defined in § 11 BDSG), unless the law or a court of law should dictate this.
The personal information you share with us during the ordering process or when making requests of us online is protected by SSL. SSL, short for "secure socket layer", is an encryption process that is used successfully throughout the Internet. It encrypts all of your personal information, like your address, when it is transmitted over the Internet, preventing third parties from becoming aware of it during transfer. A small, closed padlock icon (or similar icon) appears behind the address field on your browser to indicate that you are in an area protected by SSL.
3. Applying online
If you should be interested in working at our company, you will find current job offers on our website. We have set up an online application system to make it as easy as possible for you to get in touch. Applying online requires you to share your personal information with us. We will store this information and the digital documents which you send us. .
All applications sent to our group are processed centrally at the Pneuhage Management GmbH & Co. KG. Information will and should therefore be shared within the entire Pneuhage Group. If you should wish to restrict your information to one company within the group, make sure to indicate this in your online application. We will honour such restrictions accordingly.
We guarantee you that we will handle the information you provide confidentially. Other third parties will not learn of your application or the information you provide (excluding, in this case, external service partners as defined in § 11 BDSG).
It often happens that we hear from multiple suitable applicants but we only have one vacant position. In the case that we do not offer you the job, if you expressly agree, we will add your application materials to our applicant pool. By doing so, your application will be considered for future job openings.
If your information is not actually targeted to a concrete job offer but rather you would like to add your application materials to our applicant pool, please indicate this in your online application. If you have not done so, we will delete your account and the information contained in it no later than six (6) months after we conclude the selection process.
You are entitled to delete your registration and the application data you have stored in our system on your own. By doing so, you will delete all of your personal information in our system. Note that this procedure cannot be undone, neither by yourself nor by us. If you wish to re-apply after deleting your personal information, you will have to enter it again.
If there has been no activity related to or change to your application information, it will be deleted automatically after two (2) years, even if you have agreed to let us store it.
We will protect the personal information you share with us during the online application using the SSL protocol described above.
4. Cookies involved in using our website
Cookies are small text files stored on your computer by your browser when you visit a website. They do not do any damage to your computer and they do not contain viruses or other malicious software ("malware"). After successfully logging into a protected area, such as our online application system, using cookies allows us to identify you and grant you access during your entire visit without making you re-enter your registration data and log in over and over. In addition, certain convenience functions cannot be used without cookies.
You have the option of blocking cookies by changing the security settings on your computer. This is usually possible directly in your Internet browser. Please consult the information provided by your computer's manufacturer or retailer for more information in this respect. Note that blocking cookies means that certain functions will not be available on our website.
5. Collecting information on visitors to our website
When you visit our website, your browser will automatically send certain information that will be stored on our web server. This information includes:
This information can never be linked directly to your person. This information is also never collated with other sources of data.
6. Downloading information from our website
Any time we provide digital files available for download on our website, these will be inspected for malicious software (malware), such as electronic viruses, using the technical standards at the time. Given how quickly technology actually develops, however, there is nonetheless the possibility that the act of downloading the available files from our website could expose your computer system to malware. Therefore, it is imperative that you protect your computer system from malware using the options available for that system. Please consult the information provided by the manufacturer of your computer system and/or the information provided with your operating system for details.
7. Tracking visitors to our website using etracker
Our website uses the technologies of the etracker GmbH (www.etracker.com) to collect and store information for marketing and optimisation purposes. This information can be used to create a usage profile under a pseudonym. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files stored locally in the cache of the Internet browsers of those who visit our website. Cookies make it possible to recognise the Internet browser. The information collected using the etracker technologies without the separate, explicit consent of the people concerned will not be used in a manner that allows us to identify the visitor to our website personally or to link personal information to the pseudonym. Users may contest the collection and storage of such data and this will take effect immediately. The right to request information about what data has been collected and to order that such data be deleted remains unaffected.
8. Analysing information about visitors to our website for controlling pop-ups with nugg.ad
Our website uses the technology of the nugg.ad AG (www.nugg.ad) to analyse information about visitors to our website for the purpose of managing pop-ups. To do so, nugg.ad stores the frequency with which you visit various topics on the website in cookies. These cookies are stored in the browsers of users' end devices (e.g. PCs, laptops, smartphones etc.) for a period of no longer than twenty-six (26) weeks. The nugg.ad technology may use this impersonal information about your Internet usage across websites to create a rough idea of which ads might be most interesting to you. If you are interested in receiving ads on websites which fit your areas of interest, you may opt in to the software for more in-depth topical analysis of your usage behaviour. If you opt in, an opt-in cookie will also be stored on the browser of your end device. This cookie will be stored there for one (1) year. If nugg.ad should already have such information stored in cookies placed on the browser of your end device, opting in will have the following effect: opting in will extend the time nugg.ad may store already placed cookies to a total of one (1) year (starting from the date on which the cookies were originally placed). Consequently, the information stored in the cookies before you opted in will be retained when you opt in and then deleted when the cookies expire, which will occur no later than one (1) year after they were placed. Users have the right to stop nugg.ad from recording such measurement data at any time by opting out. Users may also revoke their opt-in at any time and this will take effect immediately. When users opt out, a cookie will be stored in the browser of their end device by "nuggad.net" called "nuggstopp" for a period of ten (10) years. The right to request information about what data has been collected and to order that such data be deleted after revoking or contesting its collection (see no. 7) remains unaffected.
For information about data protection at nugg.ad, visit their website at adchoices.nuggad.net. The website has a topic monitor on which you can see how they assess your interests based on your previous surfing behaviour.
I do not want nugg.ad to analyse the topics of my surfing behaviour on the Internet. I acknowledge that opting out means that a cookie will be stored on my browser for ten (10) years.
I would like to continue to be shown ads that are relevant to me and I agree to allow nugg.ad to analyse the topics of my surfing behaviour. This opt-in is valid for one (1) year.
Please note: You may not delete this cookie for as long as you have opted out of allowing your measurement data to be recorded. If you delete all the cookies in your browser, you will have to repeat this procedure.
9. Using Storm Tracking to analyse visits to our website
Our website uses Storm Tracking, a web-analysis software produced by the DC Storm Ltd. Storm Tracking uses so-called "cookies". These are small text files stored on your computer to obtain anonymous information about your visit to our website.
The information stored includes:
When the visitor comes to our page from another website, the URL of the prior website (referrer) is recorded. This is concealed using a hash algorithm in the cookie. For example, "http://www.google.com/search?q=dcstorm" may be encoded as "12345678|560868". This helps us avoid creating double entries for new visits. This cookie becomes invalid twenty (20) minutes after it is created.
DC Storm does not store the IP address of those who visit our website. This information is transmitted with each server query (which is technically unavoidable), but it is stripped of all personal information and deleted after each processing (e.g. geolocalisation). Therefore, it is not possible to identify the IP addresses or draw conclusions about the persons behind them.
The collected, anonymous information is then sent to a DC Storm server in the United Kingdom and stored there.
We take your private sphere very seriously and we do not share your information with third parties. The collected information serves solely to analyse and optimise our website. The visitors are not identified by the compiled data. Furthermore, this data is not collated with other data.
You may prohibit cookies from being stored on your browser. Please note, however, that this may restrict your use of our website and, under certain circumstances, prevent some functions from working as they were designed.
If you opt out, this will be stored in a special cookie (_#uid) and remain valid as long as you do not delete the cookie
10. Using Facebook plug-ins (the Like button) on our website
There are plug-ins from the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA, integrated into our website. These Facebook plug-ins are identified by the Facebook logo and the "Like" button on our website. You can find more information about Facebook plug-ins at the following website: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our website, the plug-in creates a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. This informs Facebook that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click on the Like button while logged into your Facebook account, you will link the content on our page to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to assign this visit to our website to your user account. Please note that we, as a provider, do not obtain any information about what content has been transmitted or how it is used by Facebook. You can find more information about the data protection declaration of Facebook at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php
If you do not want to allow Facebook to assign your visit to our website to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account first.
11. Using Google+ plug-ins (e.g. the "+1" button) on our website
There are so-called "social plug-ins" from the social network Google+, das von der Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google") integrated into our website. These plug-ins are identified by the "+1" symbol on a white or colour background, for example. You can find more information about Google plug-ins and their appearance at the following website: https://developers.google.com/+/plugins
When you visit a page on our website which contains such a plug-in, your browser creates a direct link to Google servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly from Google to your browser and linked into the page. This link informs Google that you have called up that page on our website, even if you do not have a profile at Google+ or you are not currently logged into your Google+ account. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Google server in the US and stored there.
If you are logged into Google+, Google can directly assign your visit to our website to your Google+ profile. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example, if you click on the "+1" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Google server and stored there. This information will also be published on Google+ and shown to your contacts on Google+.
For information about the purpose and scope of data collection, processing and usage by Google and your rights and blockage options for the protection of your private sphere in this respect, please see the data protection notice of Google at: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html
If you do not want Google to be able to assign the information it collects about your visit to our website directly to your Google+ profile, you must log out of your Google+ profile before visiting our website. You can also completely block the Google plug-ins from loading by changing the Add-Ons settings in your browser.
12. Using Twitter on our website
It is also possible to use the electronic service Twitter on our website. This is a service provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (Twitter). When you use Twitter functions, particularly the "re-tweet" function, you link the pages to your Twitter account, informing other users (your "followers") of this fact. This transmits information to Twitter. We do not receive any information at all from Twitter about the type or content of the transmitted information or how it is used by Twitter. You can get more information about the use of this data by Twitter from the Twitter data protection declaration on Twitter's website at https://twitter.com/privacy. You can also contribute to your data protection by configuring the data protection settings in your Twitter account, which you can access by clicking on the following link: http://twitter.com/account/settings.
13. Right of refusal
According to the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), you have a right of refusal with respect to the transmittal of your data for advertising purposes (blocking indicator). In addition, when certain prerequisites are met, you have the right to correct, block and delete the information about you we have stored.
14. Right to information about and/or deletion of data
You have the right to receive information in writing free of charge about the data related to your person which we have stored. At your request, we will inform you where this data comes from, to whom it has been transmitted and for what purpose we have processed it. Naturally, you also have the right to have your personal information deleted within the limits of statutory regulation; you are also entitled to delete your online application data yourself at any time.
